The access control software has never been rolled out on level -2. It has been announced three times, in 2019, in 2021 and in January's department plan. In the meantime the security desk keeps a counterfoil book: one hundred counterfoils per book, one line per visitor, date, company, name, badge number, time in, time out, requesting department, signature. Full books stay three years in the metal cabinet at the back, and then they are destroyed.
Sylvain got it out for me without asking why, because he has been on the morning shift for six years and I carry his boxes of supplies up for him.
